Gözde sets the legal and governance architecture the group operates on and brings in specialist counsel where each sector demands it: general counsel work in substance, delivered on a fractional basis.
She qualified as a lawyer in Türkiye in 2001, then retrained under English law, completing a Magic Circle training contract at Allen & Overy and qualifying as a solicitor of England & Wales in 2011. A decade at FXCM followed, rising to Lead Counsel for UK & Europe, where she led cross-border corporate and regulatory strategy through the group's international expansion, including FCA remediation and GDPR implementation, before co-founding fintech venture Rackle as Chief Legal Officer in 2022.
That grounding across two legal systems and regulated financial services defines her work at Sazy Capital, sitting within a wider portfolio of fractional general counsel roles, favouring teams where she sits at the centre of the outcome.

Turney holds a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) from the College of Law and the Legal Practice Course (LPC) from BPP Law School, a CISI Diploma in Investment Compliance, an LLM in EU Law from Stockholm University on full scholarship, and a BA in Law from Ankara University. Across Turkish, European and English legal training, her path added up to roughly twelve years of legal education across jurisdictions — the grounding that made her a genuinely global lawyer. She served on the board of Marble Hill Playcentres from 2020 to 2023 and mentors law students.
